2021 Graduate Nurse Program – Hobart Private Hospital
The aim of the Graduate Nurse Program at Hobart Private Hospital is to provide 12 months of consolidation of clinical skills in a supportive and caring environment.
At Hobart Private we offer:
- A structured 12 month program with the option of ward areas or specialty area
- Opportunity to indicate clinical area preference
- Part time positions at 64 hours per fortnight fully rotational shift work
- A supportive program with a dedicated Educator supported by Clinical Nurses in each area

Selection Criteria:
- Eligibility for registration as a nurse with the Nurses and Midwives board (AHPRA)
- Working with Children Check
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Flexible to undertake Part time employment on a 7-day rotating roster
- High-level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Works well within a team
How to Apply:
- Write a one page cover letter stating why you want to work at Hobart Private Hospital, include area of preference for placement
- Include a CV with at least two references (One referee must be a clinical teacher, preceptor, or other senior nurse that you have reported to at a clinical placement)
- Provide most recent academic transcript with result legend
- Include a copy of written feedback / final assessment from most recent clinical placement (practice portfolio)
- Include a copy of one other relevant acute placement (hospital) feedback / final assessment completed by you & your facilitator at clinical placement (please contact us if you are unsure of this)
